How it Works

No appointment necessary; please come early and check in at the front Desk. A health care provider will perform removals or insertions of Long-Acting Reversable Contraceptives; a registered nurse will perform counseling for Short-Term Reversable Contraception. Please ensure you’ve not had unprotected intercourse for two weeks before requesting contraception. A pregnancy test may be required but can be performed the same day as your visit, with little delay. The clinic is first come, first served, with a maximum of six patients seen for procedures.

NOTE:
Mirena is FDA-approved for eight years of use; Paragard is FDA-approved for 10 years; Kyleena is FDA-approved for five years. Nexplanon is FDA-approved for three years of use. If you’ve exceeded time limits and have an expired contraceptive device you’d like removed and replaced, a pregnancy test may be required.
