Aerospace and Operational Medicine

Aerospace and Operational Medicine is comprised of the Flight and Operational Medicine Clinic (FOMC) and the Base and Operational Medicine Clinic (BOMC).

FOMC

FOMC manages the preventive services and care of 1,600 aircrew, which includes 18 flying units assigned to six MAJCOMS. Additionally, FOMC houses Kadena’s first ever Sports Medicine Clinic and the Occupational Health Program, which affects 40 Squadrons.

BOMC

BOMC manages the base Physical Health Assessment Questionnaire program, which includes the Mental Health Assessment, the Deployment Health Related Assessment, medical clearances, IMR readiness reviews, and duty limiting conditions.

Lastly, we are a Military Entrance Processing Station for the island of Okinawa; BOMC supports all initial enlistments.
